The CUET 2026 registration last date will be January 30, while students were allowed to pay their CUET registration fees up to January 31, 2026, (till 11:50 PM).

When submitting the CUET application form 2026, candidates should carefully read the CUET eligibility criteria 2026 and make sure they meet the criteria and possess all the required documents to avoid cancellation.

Candidates must also follow the topic mapping requirements of the chosen university and course when filling out their online CUET application form 2026. While completing the online application, candidates have the option to choose five CUET subjects.

Major CUET Registration 2026 Updates by NTA

  • Except for the applicant's mother, father, or guardian's name, which is not listed on their Aadhaar records, NTA will collect the applicant's personal information from UIDAI records as stated on their Aadhaar cards. Their CUET application form 2026 will be rejected if they don't comply.
  • UDID cards and disability certificates must be validated, reissued, and updated as needed by applicants with impairments.
  • Additionally, applicants from SC, ST, OBC-NCL, and EWS must have their category certificate updated, renewed, and validated as needed.

What is CUET UG 2026?

A national-level undergraduate entrance exam administered by the National Testing Agency NTA to provide candidates from various backgrounds with equal opportunities for admission to UG courses in 287 CUET-Participating universities and colleges at Central/State/Deemed/Private levels.

When submitting the CUET application form 2026, candidates should carefully read the CUET eligibility criteria 2026. Students are allowed to choose up to five CUET subjects and four exam locations while registering.

CUET UG 2026: New Changes

Candidates can now review the latest changes in the CUET UG 2026 exam recommended by the NTA on December 3, 2026, according to the CUET notification 2026.

There are basically no significant changes made by the NTA this year for the CUET UG 2026. The syllabus and exam pattern are the same as in 2025. However, there are still a few things that every applicant must be aware of.

  • There are 23 CUET domain subjects available from the National Testing Agency. Candidates may choose up to five CUET subjects from the General Test, Language, and Domain courses that correspond with their coursework in class 12.
  • Candidates can select courses according to college requirements and selected undergraduate courses when filling out their online CUET application form 2026.
  • A maximum of three participating central universities may accept applications from candidates. If applicants decide to apply to more than three universities, they must pay the application cost.

CUET 2026 Subject Mapping Criteria

  • The official CUET notification 2026 and the CUET topic mapping criteria for every UG course are released by CUET-accepting universities. Candidates must review the CUET topic requirements for the desired course to apply for UG courses.
  • Candidates should be aware that if they don't meet the course requirements, neither NTA nor the college will be held accountable. The CUET subjects must be thoroughly reviewed by candidates.

Mandatory Aadhaar Verification

In an effort to lessen the procedural difficulties CUET UG 2026 candidates encounter throughout the application process, the NTA published a public notice on December 4, 2025.

The notification stated that NTA would retrieve students' personal data, including name, address, date of birth, gender, and photo, from UIDAI databases using Aadhaar verification. They must include their father's and mother's names separately on their application because the Aadhaar card does not provide this information.

Candidates will have the chance to rectify any inconsistencies between their personal data, their Aadhaar information, and their mark sheets or academic certificates from the tenth grade throughout the application period.
